SLJ Overcoming Adversity

Hi!!!
I'm Peyton.
Welcome back to...
"Peyton's SLJ!"
today I'm going to be explaining my first time I every did the summer learning Journey.
So when I first signed up for it with my sister Taya who died 2 months later we definitely did not think we would come second and third.
It was very challenging because there was lots of activities and we were moving but I made I through and came third.
Thank you.

  1. Hi Peyton

I'm sorry to hear that your sister died after 2 months that is super sad I hope you don't feel too upset now,

I like the way you detailed your writing and congratulations that you came third I wish you all the best for this year. I like how you said it was a bit challenging too, I also faced some challenges last year too when I did Summer Learning Journey.

Next time you could maybe add a picture of one of your posts or put a link to one of your posts from last year and you could also maybe decorate your post a bit more by changing the background.

I wish you the best of luck for next year at this school

Keep up the amazing work :)

  2. Hey Peyton,

That sounds like a very challenging time for you and your whole family. You've done so well to complete all the activities this year and I think your sister would be proud of the hard work you've done.

I've really enjoyed commenting on your amazing posts and seeing your cool and unique style to each of the activities. I love your cherry and enthusiastic introductions and hope you have an amazing rest of your holidays and a great start to school this year.

  3. Kia ora Peyton

Thanks for sharing with us this very challenging time - I have to agree with Daniel, I think that Taya would be SO proud of you for not only completing the WHOLE programme this time, but also for finishing FIRST in the WHOLE country!!

Do you think that Taya would be happy to know that there was a prize dedicated to her memory? I'm really excited to hand it out when we come through for the prize giving assembly in February!

Much love to you and your whānau, Peyton.

    Kia kaha,
    Jordan
