SLJ The diary of Anne Frank

Hi!!!
I'm Peyton.
Welcome back to...
"Peyton's SLJ!"
today I'm going to be writing an extraordinary story.
" This time it is not about corrosion! it is the fictitious story written by my daughter, Helya! below, I will share it with you without any editing. Enjoy it as I did! "
Life in LA
It's so stressful, everything's moving so fast. Back in Texas my life was enjoyable and smooth, now if you don't move fast enough you'll find yourself on the street within minutes. My boss isn't making it any better, his name is Dan, you'd think that in a busy city he should be pretty laid back and let you off with a few warnings but no. He's mostly the reason i have anxiety right now. In Texas, my job wasn't all that bad, even though i got minimum wage, I still had enough money to get to the college i wanted so i could have the proper education and enough money to have a stable life in LA.
I set off on a hike to forget about it all even though i had 3 different reports due in the next 5 hours, i was too tired. As i looked across the country side i heard footsteps, i was caught so off guard i nearly screamed. "Hi there!" I hear someone say, its a blonde haired girl, she was smiling even though she clearly knew i was upset. "My names Elouise, and you are?" There was sort of an awkward silence between us. "I'm charlotte.." I began to say, "This country side looks beautiful, don't you think?" I stared into the country side as i began blabbering about how LA should be greener. Elouise seemed to have found it funny and told stories of her own. After a long conversation she said "You seem cool! Here's my number if you ever want to contact me, i guess I'll be seeing you around charlotte!" She uttered as she began climbing down.
After that day i decided to go to a gardening class. Once i got there i realised everyone came prepared with hoes, shovels, seeds, etc. But guess who else was there, Elouise! She was kind enough to share her supplies with me. I noticed a big book in her bag so I asked, "what's that, in your bag?" She seemed startled but showed me the odd book. "It's a scrapbook, anything I find memorial I put in this scrapbook." She began showing me tons of photos from when she was in elementary school, then photos from her high school, even from college! "Wow you seem to have quite a life!" I expressed. "Well, i do love scrapbooking!" She giggled.
I finally decided I wanted to be friends with this girl, i contacted her and said "Hey Elouise! Remember me from earlier today? Its charlotte! I was thinking if you wanted to go on a hike with me tomorrow afternoon. What do you say?" A minute passes, nothing. 5 minutes later, nothing, until finally 20 minutes later i hear a buzz. I rush to my phone to see what she said but it was just a notice for my most recent report that was due in an hour. I gasped so loud, I'm pretty sure my neighbours heard me. "I FORGOT TO DO MY WORK!"
The next day i went to my boss and asked for a break. Luckily, he was in a good mood. "Just a week! Not any longer. But this means no pay check for that week." I nodded. I went back home and contacted Elouise for a full hour, then the next day during her break I FaceTime her. During that week I was only contacting Elouise. Until I had to go back to work. I felt refreshed but once I got my work I lost all my motivation. With every sentence written, my anxiety turned to depression.
Every afternoon Elouise would contact me but I was busy sulking in my work than to contact. Then Elouise sent a message unlike ever before.
"Do you want any help?"
"What do you mean?"
"Every time I try to help you, you sort of disconnect."
"Well I have this horrible job, and nothing will wait for me. Everything's too quick."
"Want me to be your tutor?"
"Haha, no, but thanks."
"Come on, Charlotte! Give it a chance!"
I logged off without an answer. I didn't need a tutor, I'm 26 years old! I can deal with my problems. But I couldn't. I kept lying to myself that I could do it and that it doesn't matter. But it did, I couldn't do anything in LA. I needed help but refused to get any.
"A few weeks pass and I find myself on my knees to my boss, "Please give me another chance!" "No, you've missed too many deadlines. Your fired! " and then I wake up." I say to my therapist.
"Well you have got depression but nothing that's too major thankfully. You just need a coach, here's someone I think it's worth contacting." She hands me a slip of paper. I thank her and start to leave.
I contact the number and realise it's Elouise's phone number! "Wow you're quite the social butterfly, Elouise!"
"What are you talking about?" She replies
"I went to the therapist just now and she started talking about a coach, she gave me your number! I guess the universe wants you to help me" I replied smiling as happily as ever.
"Well do you want my help?"
"I guess so! How about every Saturday you come over and help me with my reports, cool?"
"Well, I sort of have a ping pong meet at Saturday, how about Sunday?"
"Im free on Sunday from 4pm till 7. See Ya!"
From that day Elouise came to my house and helped me. She made sure to take photos for her scrapbook everyday. Weeks went by and I wasn't fired. Until one day, I heard my name on the loudspeaker. "Charlotte Davis, please go to Daniel Fishermans office please. Charlotte Davis to Daniel Fishermans office please." I had butterflies in my stomach, what did I do wrong? I was pretty sure I did everything right! My anxiety was acting up, and I couldn't stop it. Once I finally opened the door and walked in I sat on the nearest seat possible, just in case I was fired and needed to pack my things asap. "So Charlotte, how's life been treating you?" What kind of question is that?? "Pretty well nowadays" "well that's great, because it's going to be even better!" Even better? That sounds like something you say to someone when you want to fire them! Dan starts to look for something while muttering something under his breath. "Ah, here we go." "Whats that?" I ask, "Its a plaque. You've worked so well this month that I've made you my assistant!" My jaw drops. "WHAT?!" I scream "Your new desk is outside my office. You start tomorrow." I couldn't stop thanking him, he was kind for once! As soon as I left I told Elouise. She was bouncing with joy.
The next day I was telling Elouise about Texas. She seemed to have known I was sad because the next day, she said she gathered enough money for her to fly over to Texas and I'm pretty sure that at the rate I was working at, I could get us both some tickets so Elouise can have a few extra dollars in her pocket. A month goes by and I wake up from a dream and start crying uncontrollably. I decided that once the sun comes up I go on another hike, from where I met Elouise. "Everything's happening so quickly, but...it's okay. I can't believe all of this."
Months went by until finally we both gathered enough money to fly over here to Texas permanently. Now, life is amazing! Elouise and I work together and live near each other. Hopefully we get to get enough money to make our own hiking trip for kids so they will start to love nature at a young age.
(That was a fake story)
Thank you.
