SLJ Stranger than Fiction

Hi today I am doing more SLJ this is called Stranger than Fiction how this works I pick out two strange plants and say three differences and similarities Lets get started.

Here are my plants:

White Baneberry

Similarities
There both red.
There both unique.

                 Hydnellum Peckii

            White baneberry is                 toxic.
Wine berry is on a stick.
Wine berry is very small

Hydnellum Peckii is known as bleeding                                         tooth  fungus.

Hydnellum Peckii is a special type of fungi                                       that produce blood or juice like fluid on its                                                                   surface.

I would kind of like to have a white bane berry plant in my garden to scare people.

Thank you.

Bye!!!
By Peyton.

  1. Kia ora Peyton,

My name is Hazel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) team. I’ll be helping Jordan out in Kootuitui over the Christmas holidays. It's great to see you making such an awesome start to the programme - ka pai.

Those plants are both so interesting! I think that the Hydnellum Peckii is pretty cool (even if it does look a little gross). Where are these plants found? Would you like to have either of them in your garden?

It's great to see you using images to illustrate your blog post. Every time that we use an image on our blog, it's really important that we tell our readers where we found it, and give credit to the owner of the picture. To properly credit a picture you will need to include a link to the site where you found the image. We have created a guide that you might find helpful. You can check it out here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1VKjkMGwBrk2YI6Vtmg91OAQljr_T3ZSV6YZtu6MWFNM/

In order to get full points for this activity, can you please go back and edit your post to include links to the original source? In future, you will need to follow these instructions to earn full points for any SLJ activity that has asked you to post an image.

Keep up the great work Peyton, and I look forward to reading more of your posts soon.

    Hazel :)
