SLJ a all to arms

Hi welcome back today I'm doing SLJ this activity is called a call to arms so how this works is I need to pick an environmental video and say why I chose it.
So I chose Taranki Mounga project because it shows you about lots of things like traps and animals and he explains it so well.
Thank you.

  1. Kia Ora Peyton,

Great work completing another Summer Learning Journey activity. Yes, the video talks about trapping and the Department of Conservation's work to ensure the fauna in the Taranaki area is taken care of. I really enjoyed how the video spoke of the Iwi's relation to the land, and Mount Taranaki being an ancestor for the Māori community in Taranaki. This is why it is so important to look after our natural resources and ensure we have a good relationship with the land. Have you ever visited Mount Taranaki/New Plymouth area before? I was actually driving through there only a couple days ago and I was very impressed at the scenery. The land is incredibly beautiful, and not to mention the mountain, I was in awe. I understand now how much the community must value living near such an impressive national park.

I look forward to reading more of your blog entries soon!

    Thanks,

    Jordan
