Hi!!!
I'm Peyton.
Welcome back to...
" Peyton's SLJ!"
Today I will be talking about my culture.
And if you didn't know I am...
Maori,cook island,dutch and much more.
So I am mainly Cook island Maori.
We eat a lot of sea food but if it's not see food then its probably donuts or fresh fruit.
My grandparents live in Rarotonga.
In Raro we do lots of swimming and exploring.
Well that's basically everything for today.
Thank you.
BYE!!!

Hi Peyton
ReplyDeleteI love how enthusiastic you are with your blog posts, I'm enjoying it so far. I love donuts especially the ones from krispy kreme and dunkin donut, when you swim in Rarotonga can you see fish?
Kia pai to ra
Nia :-)
Kia ora Peyton!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to see how much mahi you're putting in to this years' SLJ programme: "Changemakers: People who have changed the world" - your sister would be very proud of you, I'm sure.
Thanks for telling us about your culture (also known as ethnicity) - Cook Island Māori is pretty awesome. Out of your parents, who is Cook Island Māori and who is Dutch?
Peyton, I would love to see you start incorporating some art in to your posts - do you think you could start doing that? Let's make the post really pop (not that your enthusiasm doesn't do that already!)
Looking forward to your response :)
Ngā mihi,
Jordan
Hi Jordan,
DeleteMrs Campbell here (Peyton's teacher from this year or should I say last year since it is now 2020). Happy New Year Jordan. I am blown away by how many of the summer learning journey activities Peyton has completed so far. Thanks so much for this wonderful programme and how interesting it is. I really enjoyed learning more about what Peyton and her family like to eat. I know they liked donuts.
Peyton I wonder what is your favourite seafood as it takes me back to a time when I was down south with my twin sister and we ended up having paua patties (fresh from the sea). They were delicious (the drive getting there wasn't so flash but it was all worth it. Thanks for bringing back those almost forgotten memories for me. I love whitebait too. Do you?
